THE FRONT DESK

When we arrive to the Institute, first thing we will see is the front desk where they provide us with the information and resources we need to move about the Institute. Here you will find two professionals who can help you find what you are looking for within the Institute, both men are well aware of the building and the staff, as they have worked in the same position for years. Here we find the means to make photocopies and other secretarial services.

SECRETARY

For any burocratic paperwork that needs to be done, we direct it to the secretary. Here, you can apply for licenses, registration, pre-registration and find answers to any inquieries related to courses that are developed at the Institute. We find two administrative professionals who will gladly deal with any questions that may arise from any potential visitors to the Centre.

CLASSROOMS

In the lower level, there are 2 classrooms.

On the ground floor, there are 10 classrooms.

On the top floor there are 13 classrooms.

All classrooms have a minimum capacity of 16 students, good windows and heating.

COMPUTER ROOMS

One specific classrooms for computer education is currently in use. This room can accommodate 20 students. These computers are continuously updated to adapt to changing technology. Eskola 2.0 project.

SCIENCE LABS

Located in the Institute, the science two lab are used by all students in the Institute since it is incorporated into the studies of the various science courses, both in the ESO as BACCALAUREATE. Normally the topics covered in the lab are related to Physics, Chemistry and Nature.

MUSIC ROOM

Located on the top floor is a special classroom appropriate for dance, music and other artistic applications. There we also find the necessary equipment for these subjects.

C.A.D. CLASSROOM

Created in the 2001-2002 academic year, this room was created for technical drawing. And it has been equipped with all of the appropriate equipment.

SUPPORT ROOM

Used in the ESO for students who have difficulties keeping up with other students. There are times during the school year when this room is very necessary. There is a specific teacher to serve and assist these students.

SCHOOL THEATER

This is the most ample room within the Institute and is used for receiving groups, exhibitions, lectures, debates, other relevent events as well as an audiovisual classroom. The theater is also used for small theatrical performances and film screenings. The room is well equipped because it has a PA, video projector and other visual technology for all types of events. It has a capacity of 150 people.

LIBRARY

Located next to the theater, its collection of books is wide enough to meet the demand generated by the students of ESO and Baccalaureate. In recent years considerable efforts have been made to increase funding for Basque material as the student body has demanded what we have today. In total, about XXX books are available to borrow. The capacity of the library is 50 students. Audiovisual material is also available in the library. Over the past year we incorporated two computers into the library for anyone wishing to conduct research and to facilitate students access to the Internet. The library operation is managed by two teachers, who are in charge of the accounts, purchases, etc. During normal school hours we keep the library open as long as possible, always with a teacher supervising. The library hours are from 9am to 1:30pm and from 3pm to 5 pm.

ATHLETICS

Several school facilies are used for Physical Education, during recess, and for extracurricular activities.  We have achieved suitable facilities for a number of sports and activities.

Inside the Institute on the lower floor is a gym of 150 square meters. In the gym you can practice: gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, etc.

Outside we have a basketball, handball and football court.

To service everyone, there are two locker rooms of which each have room for 15 players and include 7 showers and three bathrooms.

CAFETERIA

The Cafeteria or lunch room, is on the lower level of the Institute and is a new modern room with a capacity for 50 people. Currently, the cafeteria is used by students in ESO upon request. The Tamar Company, approved by the Department of Education within the Basque Goverment, provides the food served in the cafeteria.

WORKSHOPS

Workshops are primarily designed for vocational education and training, and are molded for specific purposes:

            Workshop 1: Used in the ESO to teach the subject of Technology and Computers.

            Workshop 2: relating to all matters having to do with electricity.

            Workshop 3: related to heating and cooling installations.

            Workshop 4: automation.

            Workshop classroom: socio-cultural animation.

DEPARTMENTS

There is a department for each of the core subjects. Teachers are usually grouped into related subjects and therefore include the departments include, physical education, computer science, AAT, Basque, Spanish, drawing, humanities, English and technology.

STAFF ROOM

The main staff room is located near the entrance of the school and is a meeting place for all of the teachers. On the second floor there is another smaller room specifically for the first cycle teachers, and is often used as a remedial classroom.

AMPAS - PARENT'S ASSOCIATION

It is located next to the Central Secretary and is a place for the Association of parents, and point of care for all families of students of the Centre. There are planned activities and make the meetings of the Association.

STAFF

Work in the Centre 60 teachers, more or less. The faculty is split between the high schools, the ESO, Vocational Training.

GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT

From this Department all students of the Institute may provide the necessary information related to the educational world.
